This season has been a classic with 3 teams very evenly matched. With 2 league games it is still all to play, but with now Launch the bookies favorite after a special win against Veolia.
The game started with launch needing some help from some college students to make there 5 but they seemed to of unearthed a hidden talent as he linked up very well with launches players and gave Thomas (Launch)a chance to really shine with 2 well taken goals and win a deserved MOTM.
For Veolia they never really took there chances and played a too buccaneering approach to a game they only needed to draw. But its not over till its over and I predict there will still be hiccups along the way for all top 3 teams.
RCGP dominated today’s game with great team work and individual brilliance. Any cobwebs that were left from missing last season have now officially been blown off. Other teams could have easily taken their foot off the gas when leading comfortably. But not RCGP, time and time again they punished MMMs poor defensive performance and kept a hard to come by clean sheet thanks to good defending and keeping. Today’s MOTM was Stefan, who was a task master at the back and going forward filled his boots with goals. As for MMM this will come as a shock to them as they thought these kind of losses were a thing of the past.
Another Week and another GOTD involving Launch. The real surprise package for this season again played their part in a very exciting game. Launch started the better side and quickly took the lead, and built on it to form a commanding position that saw them enter the second half 3-0 up. But then mistakes started to creep in and Regulators got a goal back against the run of play. With that goal Regulators found a new sense of belief, leading to waves of attacks being thrust on Launch’s defence. Launch couldn’t stem the tide and conceded two more late on, to drop points for the first time this season. Regulators, after having their first game postponed, are back in the title hunt and still remain unbeaten.
Final score 3-3.
MOTM: Sam (Launch)
Launch’s first win last week was expected but this one wasn’t! For last season’s champions to be upset by these young upstarts was not on the cards. But Launch made all the early running and went into half time winning 1-0. The second half was box office with Jirehouse falling 3-0 behind, then leading it 4-3… but Launch, who could have let their heads drop, kept pushing and fighting for some points. The mastermind behind this gutsy display of never giving up was Daniel P, who scored the winner and won so many crucial tackles! But Jirehouse can and will come back from this defeat. MoTM: Daniel P
