Below you’ll find all the information about our Lunchtime Leagues. If you’re interested in joining, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us a message via our contact form.
What are the days and times of your lunchtime leagues?
The Calthorpe Project currently runs two separate Lunchtime Leagues: one on Tuesday, the other on Thursday. If there is sufficient interest, we may add additional leagues, for example on a Wednesday.
Games last 40 minutes, with kick off times alternating between 12.15, 12.55 and 13.35.
How many teams are in your leagues? How long does a season last?
Each league typically features six teams. Teams play each other twice, therefore playing 10 games in total. Usually there are no ‘gaps’ or breaks in the season, so the 10 games take place across 10 consecutive weeks.
What is the cost per team?
From Spring 2019, the cost per team (for a 10-week season) will be £375 plus a £50 returnable deposit.
When will your next leagues begin?
Our spring 2019 leagues are due to begin in late March or early April. Please contact us for more information.
Where do the leagues take place?
Our football pitch is within the grounds of the Calthorpe Project on Grays Inn Road, close to Kings Cross, Farringdon and Russell Square. Please see the map at the bottom of this page for a more precise location.
How can I join a league?
To enquire if there are any spaces in our current leagues, or to register your team for the next available league, please send us a message using our contact form.
I’m an individual player and I don’t currently have a team. Can I still get involved in the leagues?
We’re always interested to hear from keen players. We have a growing list of individuals registered on our waiting list, and we hope to bring some of these players together to form a team.
